Toon Fret Flutist
Born in Tunis, from parents both musicians, he was immersed from an early age into the music world. He gratuated from Conservatoire Royal de Liège, Conservatoire national de Strasbourg and Conservatoire national de Rouen under the guidance of professors such as Toon Fret, Mario Caroli, Jean-Christophe Falala and Aline Poirier.
Several masterclasses and ecounters with great musicians such as: Hariprasad Chaurasia, Gilles Apap, Barthold Kuijken, Emily Beynon, Vincent Lucas, Davide Formisano, Suzan Millan... has enlighten his way of thinikg music.
He began his professional life in Tunisia at a precocious age performing in his father's orchestra, then as a principal flute in the Tunisian Symphonic Orchestra. He performs in France, Germany, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Slovenia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Morroco, Tunisia as soloist, chambrist and orchestra player with various ensembles and orchestras among Kammerensemble Köln, Duo Köln, Les Quatres F, Orchestre de Chambre FOGS, Orchestre Pro-Arbitus Hanovre, Duo Weltweit, Duo Garfi&Petrov, Anton Pann Ensemble, Roussé Philharmonic Orchestra, Kammerensemble Tunis, Tunisian Philharmonic Orchestra, Tunisian Symphonic Orchestra, Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra...
He gived several masterclasses at the University of music Aristotele in Thessaloniki (Greece), High Institute of Music Tunis (ISMT) and at Conservatoire national de Tunis. He teaches often as a substitue flute professor at music schools in France and also at Conservatoire National de musique de Rouen.
He teached Music Education as well at high schools in France at Académie d'Aix-Marseille and Académie de Nice.
In parallel to his musician career, he is leading a research in siences of education at ESPE Aix-en-Provence about the way of teaching the timbre production on flute in some European countries : France, Romania, Sweden and Belgium.
